Division 7 administers all water resources of the San Juan and Dolores River Basins, water-related aspects of oil and gas well development, and settles water-related issues. Division 7 is also responsible for Compact compliance under Animas-La Plata, La Plata, and Upper Colorado River Basin Compacts, and for the interstate San Juan-Chama Project. Division 7 also compiles diversion records and manages water monitoring for all Division 7 water resources.
