Well Permit Search

The Colorado Division of Water Resources will search our well database and other records to determine whether a well on a specific property is permitted or registered and identify the specific well permit number. We are providing this service only to individual residential property owners or their agents for the purpose of determining well permit information for a real estate transaction or for that property owner’s personal records.

The form below should be completed with as much information as is available. Filling in the optional information increases the probability of a successful search.
This service is not available for searches for multiple properties, but is limited to requests for individual properties submitted by the owner or the owner’s agent.

Processing time may take up to four weeks. If the information is needed by a specific date, indicate the date and the reason on the form and we will attempt to accommodate the deadline in our processing of the request.
