The Commission has received a petition from the Northern Colorado Water Association to initiate the process to create a new designated ground water basin to be known as the Upper Spring Creek Designated Ground Water Basin, in Larimer County. In its August 21, 2009 meeting the Commission authorized Staff for the Commission to commence with publication of the petition and remanded the matter to its Hearing Officer for Fact Finding Proceedings. The petition was published in the Fort Collins Coloradoan newspaper on October 16 and 23, 2009.
