Petition for Nontributary Determination for the Southeastern Portion of the DJ Basin

Mustang Creek Operation LLC (January 17, 2014)

Groundwater from the Hydrocarbon Bearing Units of the Niobrara Formation, Pennsylvanian Age Formations, and Mississippian Age Formations in portions of Elbert, El Paso, and Lincoln Counties, Colorado.

Pursuant to Rule 17.5 of the State Engineer’s Produced Nontributary Ground Water Rules, 2 CCR 402-17, Mustang Creek Operation LLC has filed a petition requesting a nontributary determination for produced water to be withdrawn for oil and gas wells located in the Niobrara Formation, Pennsylvanian Age Formations, and Mississippian Age Formations in the Southeastern Portion of the Denver-Julesburg Basin in portions of Elbert, El Paso, and Lincoln Counties, Colorado.
